Senior Product Designer

Voltus is a fully distributed company and this job is remote. You have the flexibility to work from anywhere, but you must overlap with the Mountain Time zone for at least 4 hours of the workday (9am-5pm).
Job description
At Voltus you will work on customer-facing products that make our customers’ lives easier while they get paid for using less energy. You will be responsible for contributing to the overall design process—from research, to concept development, and delivery of clear and compelling interfaces and services that get the job done. You will work within cross-functional teams of product managers and engineers to deliver great experiences to our users.
You will help the team build interfaces and services that allow humans to interact with the Voltus platform. Your work will help customers better understand how they use energy, how much they spend on energy, how they can reduce their energy use, and how much they’ve earned from offering their operational flexibility and behind-the-meter assets to energy markets.
You are someone who can help define our design strategy and think big about our product suite, but still sweats the nitty-gritty details of each feature. You are eager to experiment with solutions, and know how to find a meaningful balance between optimizing for speed and quality. You have professional experience designing useful tools that bring clarity to complex information and data sets. You enjoy bringing structure to challenging webs of concepts and systems. You are excited to help us refine our existing products, mature our budding design system, and grow design culture at Voltus.

What you'll do
- Design features and products for our growing energy toolset, using layout, hierarchy, UX best practices.
- Collaborate with the Engineering and Product teams, as well as other stakeholders.
- Facilitate discussion around your work and communicate the purpose of design decisions throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Verify and improve on designs through reviews, validations, and formal usability testing with end users.
- Get involved in user research and usability testing.
- Actively contribute to our design system, help determine whether components are single-use or multi-use, and provide recommendations regarding new component requests.

Sales Analytics Intern
The Role
The Sales Analytics Intern helps drive the productivity and performance of our sales organization. This person has the know-how to splice and dice data to deliver critical information to our sales team to take the best possible actions. If you love to enable data-driven decisions, uncover opportunities & trends, and see the results of your work through ever-increasing productivity of those you support, then this is the role for you!
The Team is looking forward to internship support for both day-to-day and strategic project work - specifically for report maintenance, regular business reviews, and internal communications. This role is intended to be full-time (30-40 hours per week).
Role and responsibilities
- Develop fundamental understanding of demand response market
- Build on MS Excel / Google Sheets and Salesforce CRM skills to support the data pulls for monthly and quarterly business reviews
- Maintain and refresh reporting resources used day-to-day in the Sales workflow (e.g. Salesforce CRM reports and dashboards, etc)
- Bring curiosity and hypotheses to explore drivers and solutions that enable Sales team achievement
- Gain exposure and provide support to standing up reporting structures via SQL, Tableau
Qualifications
- Uncommonly driven to succeed and maniacally self-initiated; extreme attention to detail
- Analytical & process-oriented mindset
- Willingness to grind; ability to build tools that eliminate the need to grind
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment

Production Technician
Voltus is seeking a bright, gritty, and good individual to join our Field Ops team as a Production Technician. The Production Technician excels in a range of crucial responsibilities, including meticulous attention to detail in hardware preparation and assembly, shipping and receiving procedures, maintaining high production quality, record keeping, ensuring inventory accuracy, and fostering a spirit of teamwork. This role places a strong emphasis on accurate, thorough work and complying with safety protocols in compliance with established OSHA procedures.

Role Responsibilities
- Strict compliance with technical procedures and workflows

- Drilling, mounting and wiring of low voltage electrical hardware

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with 2-4 years of relevant work experience, or Associates Degree with 1-2 years of relative work experience

Sales Director (Remote, US)

Our commercial and industrial customers and grid services partners generate cash by allowing Voltus to maximize the value of their flexible load, distributed generation, energy storage, energy efficiency, and electric vehicle resources in these markets.

A talented & successful sales expert, they are focused on identifying, building, and nurturing successful new relationships with large commercial, institutional, and industrial customers.

- $110,000 base salary
- $25,000 - $60,000 additional variable OTE compensation

- Prospect for new business, develop relationships with key decision-makers, understand customer needs, and report on account activity

- Additional variable compensation of an average of $30,000/yr paid quarterly
- Eligible for additional monthly bonuses and equity
